We have harvested literally thousands of pounds of produce this year to help feed our hungry neighbors. The picture below is from just one harvest session.
Some of the harvest has gone to the Isabella Community Soup Kitchen and some of it has gone to the Sudanese refugee community in Grand Rapids via Samaritas. Harvesting is over for the season and we now need to put the garden to bed.
If you have any time in the next two weeks, please head out to the garden and pull all the plants and leave them in the compost pile. Then, on November 1, at 10:00 am, we’ll meet to move the irrigation lines for the winter. If you’re interested let Laura Cochrane know or call the office. 989.773.7448.
